Columbus Nebraska Seventh-day Adventist Christian School

Mrs. Smith has come to teach in our school this year from Florida where she has been teaching the past 10 years. She is glad to get back to seasons again especially looking forward to fall and early snows. She has taught for 16 years in the Seventh-day Adventist schools with a break of 20 years for family rearing and acquisition of her Master's Degree in Reading.

She was born and raised in Michigan and began her college education at Andrews University, then she went to Southern Missionary College, obtaining her B.S. Degree in Elementary Education in 1971. She married Wayne Smith in 1971 also. They have 2 grown daughters and a son and 3 granddaughters. Nebraska is a new experience but the joys and trials of teaching are the same. Mrs. Smith loves all children and usually their parents; and loves to teach.
